Anyone have the notes and/or replacement procedure for replacing the ignition switch(electrical only not mechanical) for 98 Accord LX 4 cyl auto?

What is the procedure for removing steering column covers(98 Accord LX), any special tools needed for the task?

 

Probably only three Phillips screws need to be removed to remove the column cover. One of the screws may be more easily accessible when you release the steering column lock lever. Look under the column cover, you should see the three screws.

No special tools needed for the job. I would disconnect the negative battery cable first, before performing any work though.
