Help from anyone
Had a bad day yesterday . Got home and my damn key would not leave the ignition.
It turns off but not all the way left to allow the key to be pulled out. It starts and runs fine. Just a bit odd leaving the key in the hole!!!
This is my 90 civ hatch with auto trans and the 1.5 motor.
Lookin for ideas fellas.......whudda ya know?

This happens in my friends car, permanently now. What he does is he drives the car to where he wants to park, throws the gear into R(everse) [I believe he does it in reverse at least], then while holding down the brake, turns the key out and then throws it into park. You should be able to do the same. Try it, not a fix but just a temporary at least.

 

My EF sedan did this, I had to jiggle the shifter around until the P on the cluster lit up that I could take the key out of the ignition.
