Engine running like crap, please help
Just finished putting in my 0bd1 B18c1 with Skunk2 intake manifold.
My ecu is a P28 chipped with Crome with GSR fuel map.
Engine wired up with a 0bd2 harness using the PSWRD JDM dizzy conversion harness.
Replaced pretty much replaced every pump, gasket, and belt on engine.
Started it up and it has a rough idle and backfires when you give it gas.
I replaced spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor and still no luck.
I have yet to put on a vtec sub harness so it is throwing code 22, no other codes.
I believe the gas isn't the greatest since my car sat all summer and there might even be gas in iit from last year but I doubt it. The gas is coming out yellow. . . . . I know it was 97 octane though which is not good for a B18c1. So far all I've done is add a whole bottle of lucas octane booster. I was tihnking of adding a few gallons of 110 octane to raise it higher.
I was also thinking of cleaning injectors, draining all old gas and refilling with new.
Any ideas?

Check IAC valve due to rough idling. Sounds like it might be a fuel problem as well.
97 octane is plenty enough for a gsr motor, even slightly built, as yours is. I ran 93 in my fully built 2.1 liter gsr motor, and never had any problems.
