OR SHOULD I GO WITH SOMETHING ELSE?

 

NGK's own website has this listed as one of the spark plugs compatible with a B16A2. The OEM spark plug is a PFR6L-13.

 

yeah these are for a B16A2. are they different than the jap spec B16A???

 

I JUST CHECKED THAT PART# AND IT GIVES A LISTING OF VEHICLES APPLICABLE BUT THE B16A ENGINE ISNT LISTED

^^ not true. spark plug is not a spark plug. but if its the same thread and length your good. might be a hot plug/cold plug but it'll work.

 

just wanted to make sure, thanks again. regardless ima measure them when i pull the old ones out

 

they changed most of the codes for the spark plugs recently. So those might be the new version (code) of the original plugs.

 

Standard - BKR6ES-11
V-Power - BKR6E-11
G-Power - BKR6EGP
Laser Platinum - PFR6L-13
Laser Iridium - IFR6E11
Iridium IX - BKR6EIX-11


any of the above plugs are a stock heat range replacements for the b16. but as stated above the PFR6L-13 is the OEM plug, its a "laser platinum" according to NGK. the bkr6es-11 will also work with the b16, its just the "standard" copper plug. you will need to change them more often than the platinums. other than that i don't think you wil see any performance differences.

 

i plan on changing the standard ones every oil change since theyre $2.50 a piece rather than paying $12 a plug -___-
