I recently purchased my first ef. It's a 91 hatch with an SI d16a1 swap.

I have a cel and I tried to read the codes on the ecu.. This is what I came
Up with.

B= light


B long pause b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b then it repeats

b----b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b

The duration that the light flashes is the same. It's the pause between the first one and the 9 quick flashes that confuses me


Is it code 19 or code 1, then Code 9??

And what are these codes?

 

Code 1 then code 9 if Obd0 then:

Code 1: Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S)
Code 9: No. 1 Cylinder Position (CYP Sensor)

Basically same for Obd1 too.
Code 1: "Oxygen Content"
Code 9: No. 1 Cylinder Position (CYP Sensor)

If Obd1 try to get a second opinion before you run with mine because I've never messed with Obd1 I just searched (google, just like you should have).

 

I did search google. I was unsure if I was reading the codes right.. And I wasn't sure about the no1 cyl position code.. What is it? I heard it's in the dizzy. And I'm wondering If the codes are related in any way. For code 1, can I just replace th o2 sensor?
