Repainting my FG2 (2006)
So I figured for tough questions, ask the pros. My 06 si has taken a beating for the last 4 years. It has been hit twice while parked, been vandalized by a magic marker all over the car, and had a brick thrown at it. (thank you Boston!) Needless to say my car has taken a beating and I have decided it is time to get her repainted.
I found a guy who does good work, I just need to choose a color. I was thinking about like a house of kolor Metaljuls Black Diamond. (see link)

I was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions or any pics of custom painted civics (preferably si's). I recently paid off the car too, so don't feel obligated to give the basic answers of white, black, etc. I'm down to do something a little crazy cause I own the car, and I plan on keeping her for a while so I really want to set the car apart from the typical Honda colors.
I'll post pics of the car shortly.

It's a nice color, but if you really wanna do something different, don't go with black. No one will know the difference.
Also, what makes you believe your car will stop getting it's *** kicked when you repaint it? Is it really worth it to paint it a special expensive color?

I would go Magnetic Pearl from the hybrids. If I ever have to repaint the whole car, I would go with that. Unless you're in the know, you would think it was just a hybrid/scumoftheearth.
I know my car will get it's *** kicked eventually. It's inevitable. But at the same time I just paid it off, it's only 4 years old and the bodywork got beat. Mechanically it's perfect.
I'd just like it to look as good as it goes.

What color is you car now?
If I were considering this, I'd probably go with something close to stock so that the car would not have to be stripped all that much to get a proper paint job.
That can mean the difference between a $1500 quality job and and a $4000+ quality job.
A black car with white door jams and engine bay will bother you 10x more than a good quality shine in your car's stock hue.
