Default 98+ h22a4 block help

So i'm looking for a block that has 55mm mains. From what i've read, the 98+ blocks have 55mm mains. But some 98's were made in 97 which means they have 50mm mains. I really don't want to buy another block and end up where i am now. I know you can check the head, but the guy doesn't have the head. And the guy he bought it from didn't have the head attached. The vin ends in 2714. I'm hoping someone has any info on where they started put the newer motors in. Anywhere on the block to indicate whether it was made in 98? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I know i'm all over the place with this post lol sorry.

What is the block casting number? My 97 with 50mm mains begins with 15xxxx (SH block, I think the bases were 10xxxx), my 98 block with 55mm mains is 25xxxx. I believe the starting number indicates somewhat of a model number if I'm not mistaken. The number is right below the model code (h22a4).

2600249 is the number, now I may not be the smartest person in the world but, I should assume this is a 55mm main block right?

That's what I would assume as well. Obviously we are both making assumptions here, however, it seems quite likely especially since that is a later casting number than mine and I have 55mm mains.
