why is my 55 mph mark in yellow and rest of the numbers in white?

 

because richard nixon set 55 as the national speed limit in the u.s. in the 70's i guess thats why they are here

 

X2. That and your fuel economy goes down drastically after 55.

 

Well, on cars today it doesn't really go down after 55, but on anything made prior to the year that the dumb 55mph law was changed; back to leaving it up to the states, you will indeed get better gas mileage at or around 55mph. The reason for the law (from my understanding) that if the speed limt was set to one maximum, then the auto makers would be able to make a car that operates at maximum effiencey at that speed. In turn lowering emissions and saving the planet....

 

ahh well if anyone sees a blue hatchbak driving 55 on the freeway you'll kno why.

lol. I do 80ish on the highway and just blend in, I'm not kidding.

 

lol i always drive 80ish and i've never gotten pulled over. this one time this motorcycle cop was drivin right next to me and i didnt even notice him the whole time. when i noticed he just looked at me and sped off lol.
