I have a 96 ek dx with a sohc and putting in a b16 w/type r head.. I want to keep A/C & P/S, so what will I need???? What brackets, belts, compressor and pump??? Lmk need help ASAP

 

go to www.hondapartsunlimited.com and do year make model and compare parts your concerned with. look up a 2000 civic si cause thats B16 engine stock and compare the part numbers with civic DX and if the part numbers are the same as I think the brackets are your laughing. Im sure the AC brackets the same. the PS bracket will work just unbolt the tinny metal piece between the upper and lower half and it will work thats all I did with my GSR with the stock PS bracket best of luck to you son. may the force be with you.

Anyway, i know for a fact that a B16(99-00 si) ac bracket and AC compressor will work with the stock hoses, idk what other combo of parts will yield the same results.. And for the power steering also the 99-00 si bracket with your stock pump, if not the si will work for sure...

 

Power Steering: stock pump with 99-00Si brackets

A/C: USE YOUR stock A/C compressor with a CRV or DelSol VTEC A/C bracket! DO NOT DISONNECT THE A/C! also the idler arm and pulley. idk about the 99-00 Si A/C bracket though.

Belts: B16 belts

you will be glad u kept power steering and A/C
