2004 RSX type S, how to replace Crankshaft Position Sensor?
I got an 04 Acura RSX type S, i keep getting the misfire cylinder 1 code. after replacing all spark plugs, coil packs, and fuel injectors, a certified Honda technician took a look at it and said i need a new Crankshaft Position sensor.
Its supposed to be down at the bottom by the timing belt tensioner, is there anywhere i can find a step by step DIY with pictures? Or if anyone would be able to throw me some tips to make this job easier? thanks in advance

part number 37500-PNB-003 SENSOR ASSY., CRANK
rsx does not having a timing belt, its a chain,
OK step one
pull car into a flat area where you can work on it, (put car in park if automatic) and pull parking brake up.
step two
loosen pass side lug nuts with a 19mm socket or a equivalent tire iron. jack car up, use jack stand to keep the front end elevated. and remove the lug nuts the rest of the way and remove wheel and tire from vehicle.
step three
raise hood and remove negative battery terminal wire. sit on your *** facing the rotor, stick arm straight out and touch black plastic piece that seams to have some kinda star design cut into it.
use a flathead screw driver and a pair of pliers to remove clips that hold on the black plastic guard that you touched.
step 4
once that plastic is lowered out of the way you should see the crank pulley in plain view look left of that and there is a black sensor that has a simple connector on it, and one 10mm bolt that keeps it in position.
remove the connector from the sensor, and then remove the 10mm bolt. set the bolt aside in a place you can find it easily. pull and wiggle the sensor out at the angle that it is in. there is nothing fancy to this sensor so don't worry about breaking off a little delicate tip or something but use care.
step 5
replace with new sensor, in same fashion as removed, insert 10 mm bolt and tighten down till very snug, do not over tighten, and then reconnect the connector.
step 6
replace the black plastic piece you moved out of the way and reuse the clips.
place wheel and tire back on lugs and tighten them down hand tight.
step 7
use jack to remove jack stands and place vehicle back down on surface and tighten lugs down to 80 ft lbs in a crisscross patten.
step 8
put negative battery wire back on and shut hood. start car. enjoy.
on a side note. i don't think this will solve your problem.
