Default B20 vs Rebuilding LS

So i have been doing some research on b20 and im interested in doing the 99-00 high compression spec from HMO. I currently have a 2000 integra LS. I have been looking for threads but can only find actual B20 spec info or B20 vtec info. Anyway couple questions arise, b20 drops right in correct? Also, i found some blox intake manifold and crower camshafts but who makes headers for it or can i run LS headers? Basically i would want to run intake, intake manifold, headers, exhaust, and some cams with a tune. Now do you think this setup is better than just keeping my LS and modding that? I saw a thread where this guy ran a 14.01 with an LS in a 1/4 mile with i/h/e/im and ctr pistons. I didnt even know u could run CTR pistons on an ls... Also i prob would run a b16 tranny or gsr.......
So what you guys think?

Also what can i use to tune my car with with either the B20 or my current ls? Would it be possible to keep it obd2 bc i was told it is very difficult to pass inspection if i switch it over to obd1

I dont know the regulations in TX but here if you run obd1 and a good cat your fine. You want obd1 for tuning purposes, if you stay obd2 your probably gunna run lean and wash your cylinders.

Dropping in the b20 would be ideal unless your limited by your local smog regulations. Ask your local tuner if theres other people running b20's and on what ecu...

I would b20z2 nothing else i did the same exact thing you were wanting to do and the b20 im not gonna lie is a pain to upkeep. ls on the other hand is more realiable. just my 2 cents but yes the b20 drops right in and most of the ls parts are plug and play with a b20.

Yes, you will need to convert to OBD1, use a jumper harness, and hondata s300 in order to tune.
