I got one off a 99 GSR that suffered a spun bearing. Still on the engine and in the car. No trades, just selling.

Is the chassis a 2000? You should still be able to pass with a 1999 head as long as all emission hoses, sensors, etc are connected. I passed with a 1996 head on my 1997 GSR. State ref knows that cast on the head represents casting date, heads and blocks cast a year before the vehicle model date are commonly used. I.E. its 2010 yet you can purchase 2011 model cars already, yet all the stamps say 2010.

2 years older than the model year might be pushing it. I would go for 96 and up to be safe. It depends on which ref. you get. If you're going to Fresno, I believe the state ref. there is a Japanese guy named Rick. He is hella knowledgable, he really knows his stuff.

He failed me cause my pcv valve hose was T'ed to a vacuum hose from my Skunk2 intake manifold. He said I failed because that's not how the stock pcv valve hose is connected
