I just bought a p61 mugen valve cover did honda make these or did mugen

 

is this a 92 to 93 b17a valve cover where did it come from

 

This is a re-machined stock p61 valve cover. It has been cut to expose the cam gears.
Honda made the cast > Mugen did the refinements.

Ive never seen one like this. All I can find is the large print mugen cover. Is p61 the number for 92 to 93 gsr. What did thay make them for

P61 is '92 - '93 GS-R. I find it kind of weird though, they were a USDM only engine and they only made around 5000 of them. Not sure why Mugen would bother making a valve cover, unless they just used honda valve covers for cores. B16/B17/B18vtec valve covers are all the same.

 

All 1992-2001 GSR valve covers are P61 part numbered.
