Default Alpine PDX Settings

Hi, I have a 2001 Civic (em2) and I'm about to install an Alpine PDX 4.100 in it. I plan to power the front speakers (alpine type-r spr-17s) by bridging 2 channels per speaker, but I'm confused on all the settings for the amp, crossover settings, and what to set the crossover's jumper on the crossovers that came with the spr-17s. Can someone please teach me what I should set each setting to?

in that case you're gonna want to get all that you can out of the speakers. what you'll probably want to do is set the amp to high pass but turn the crossover as low as it will go. what this will do is eliminate typically 50hz and lower. the passive crossover with the speakers will do the rest making sure it doesn't play lower than it wants to. as far as the jumpers, you're gonna have to listen to it and figure out what you like the sound of. typically it has to deal with the tweeter. so get everything up and running and adjust the tweeters.

Thanks for the replies,

So i'm going to turn the crossovers on the amp as low as it can go, then while the system is on, remove and place the jumper on the component crossovers settings to difference frequencies until i get to where i like it?

yeah, sounds about right. make sure when you set the amp crossover you turn on High pass and then turn it to a low frequency. most likely the alpine speakers x-over will be set to 60ish anyway, but the slope will require some wiggle room.
