quick question, whats the socket size to install a oil pressure switch onto a d17a2 civic ex? some guy that worked at autozone said 18 just want to make sure.

 

All the service manual says is 18N-m, which is 13Ft-lbs for the torque. It should be somewhere around that size tho.

 

tried 18 its too small, anyone else? is there a special too for this? i notice that a long socket might not clear the back side of the intake mani.

 

Try 21 or 22 mm. I don't know for sure, because I can't quite reach it with the oil filter in the way.

If you still haven't figured it out by this weekend, I'll get back to ya. I'm going to do an oil change and I'll check it then.
