Default What cat/test pipe will I need? EK w/gsr swap

Okay, I have a EK hatchback with a 97 Integra GSR swap. I just ordered the Apex'i WS2 Exhaust for it. Right now I'm currently running the stock exhaust manifold but will hopefully soon be getting an ITR 4-1 header or just an aftermarket header. I want to get a Megan Racing test pipe but not sure what to order it for. The 94-01 Integra GSR or the 96-00 civic? Anyone know what fits?

UPDATE - What I found was crazy!
So I got the exhaust today. I also put on a Greddy 4-2-1 header (made for a GSR). When I got the Apexi WS2 exhaust I started bolting it in. What I found was this. The exhaust bolted directly to the header. I had bought a Megan Racing test pipe thinking that I would need that but I didn't. So, as far as I can tell, pretty much any 96-00 civic HB exhaust system "should" fit in an EK hatchback with a GSR swap without any sort of Cat or test pipe.

my suggestion is to go with something like this. the length's adjustable as well as you can clock the flange to whatever angle the flange on the header sit's at

I know one of them will work. Just not sure which one. Someone has to know. The reason I want the megan racing is becuase it is a resonator rather than just a test pipe.

I've heard both on a gsr, and there's hardly any difference in sound between the two. and this takes the guess work out of length issues.

I wouldn't recommend that ebay one. Blox and skunk2 test pipes are both 80 shipped on ebay... The blox one is adjustable the skunk2 is not.

that's the blackworks. i think the omni's are like $90-95. I'd go with blackworks one

mind you these are for headers with 2.5" collectors. I do think the make them for the standard collector as well

The stock GS-R header won't end up working with anything. GS-R exhaust manifolds are just too short.

The WS2 exhaust will work with the ITR 4-1 header or an aftermarket header will work too. A B16 header that clears the GS-R oil pan will work with your stock cat. The ITR 4-1 uses a 2.5" collector, so you'll need a test pipe with that.

Get stuff for a Civic, but the test pipe is just a test pipe.

The Blox test pipe is great because it's rotatable and extendable, so it's going to fit basically no matter what as long as you have the correct collector size. It's about $100, but it's peace of mind.

When in doubt, the collector flange needs to be 7 inches from the header bracket. The GS-R one ends up something like 4-5 inches away. So the GS-R header ends up too short to reach the cat.

I have always thought Megan Racing was very good quality. Am I wrong?

I still think I'm going to get the megan racing. I know that the Blox is a good quality. The biggest reason is that I'm 28 years old with a wife and 2 kids. I want the quietest exhaust possible and the Megan is a resonator so that's my reasoning.

This guy says they basically end up sounding the same.

I'm having luck with a Comptech header for a B16, stock cat, stock b-pipe and Spoon Sports muffler. Quieter than stock too.

I searched for a bolt up solution for 2 years for a EG, GSR to ws2. Never found a cat to fit after 30+hr's of research. I think this is the mystery part of the swap that has never been solved in the 18+yrs people have been doing it. Good luck trying to find the answer.

x2!! Really, you know they can cut and weld flanges, right? Custom applications sometimes require custom exhausts. Making a custom test pipe or welding on custom flanges for catalytic converters is not rocket science.
