Car pulls to the left after axle replacement????
I replaced my driver side axle with a nice reman from Raxles. Everything went well and the axle fit great, but now when I accelerate my car pulls to the left. If Im driving steady or slowing down it doesn't pull, just when accelerating. Do I need to do an alignment after axle replacement? Is it possible to mess up the alignment when taking the old one out? I did have to pry some of the front suspension apart as its been awhile since its been apart.... Any help is appreciated.

it depends on what all you took apart. you can swap axles and not touch any adjustments. if its only under acceloration then i dont think its your alignment
I unbolted the fork from the lca, and unbolted the knuckle from the lca. Getting the knuckle free of the lca did require some force.... I just tied the knuckle up out of my way and that was it. Axle out, new one in and same process in reverse.....
If its not the alignment what would it be?
Thanks

I still have a crappy reman axle on the passenger side that I haven't replaced yet.... I haven't replaced it yet because the boot hasn't ripped yet like the driver did, but it is starting to "click" telling me that the bearing is going bad. Not sure if that would cause the pulling to the left....
Thanks

This may sound dumb but check your tire pressure in the morning. I had uneven tire pressure and caused a slight pull to the left and was more noticeable under acceleration.
did you buy a reman'd oem axle or autozone/napa?...theres a very big difference, I used a napa axle once that under acceleration (3k rpms or less) made my whole car shake violently, I returned it the next day lol
I put in the OP that I got it from Raxles. Far from autozone and napa.
Torque should be 134ft-lb, it is on 90-98 Tegs anyway. 94
. After about 30mins on google I found the torque specs (94-01 teg) for axle replacement. I will be taking it off and re-torquing it tomorrow after work. Hopefully this is my problem.....so others don't make the same mistake:
ft-lbs. (N.m)
Ball Joint Nut: 36-43 (49-58)
Damper Fork Bolt: 47 (64)
Damper Fork Pinch Bolt: 32 (44)
Intermediate Shaft Bearing Support Bolts: 29 (40)
Spindle Nut: 134 (181)
Wheel Lug Nut: 80 (108)
Problem pretty much fixed. Axle nut was to tight. Now its just the same slightly bad alignment and torque steer that it had before. Thanks for the help.
