Default 88 STD Hatch Budget Bee-Series Build

First Honda, transitioning over from years of Zoom-Zooms, ie... Miatas, FC, Turbo 323, etc.

Picked up a shell for 250.00. Overall good shape, interior is nice if not a little dirty, I believe this car sat for 7 years. Came without a motor or tranny.

Two weeks after purchasing the car I found a full b16a2 swap from a 2000 Si for 600, offered 450.00. Went to the guys house, heard it run, and yanked it out and took it home. Came with axles, EG mounts I can't use, a wiring harness that looks like a 5 year old got a hold of with wire cutters and electrical tape, axles, S1 tranny.

Got a few issues to sort out, the knuckle head chopped up a d-series Dizzy that was mounted to the head with finger tight bolts, (2), drilled the IAT hole in the manifold with it attached to the damn head, etc. Little backyard bullshit.

I've gotten everything taken apart and awaiting install. Still deciding on whether or not to tear into the block, I'm considering B16B internals, but who knows at this point. Working on cleaning the motor up for now, getting misc parts and prepping the chassis. Thought about paint long and hard, and finally decided on vinyl wrap for entire car. I did a jeep this way some time ago and it turned out great although I'll be doing a digital or woodland pattern on the hatch.

Now for some pick-shures

Camo Vinyl

Can't believe the guy did this bullshit.

Bringing her home.

BEE Swap b16a2, LS Tranny

Gonna be replacing this bullshit with a CTR N1

Chassis Prep and Wire Tuck

Wires are going into frame rail once I extend them, AC Delete, etc.

Poor thing. Just getting started though.

Proper Dizzy

Blackworks Radiator

One Wheel stripped waiting for polishing. Pain in the ***.

More to come :D

I'd get a gsr/b16 trans before you start building the block.
