Default Widest tires for EP3? Please help.

Does anyone have any experience with what the widest tire you can fit on an EP3? It is running 17x7 in wheels, +42 offset, and the car is lowered just under an inch and a half.

Thanks!

If you're looking for the best traction, then you should be worrying about getting stickier tires, not wider tires. The big factor in grip is the make and model of the tire, as reflected in its design (compound, tread pattern, construction). Treadwidth is relatively insignificant by comparison. So if you're looking for the best grip, concentrate on getting stickier tires, and don't worry about wider tires.

The best 17" tire size for your '01-05 Civic Si is 205/50-17. The stickiest street tires available in that size are the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 and Yokohama Advan Neova AD08. You may also be able to use 215/45-17, for which the RE-11 and Toyo Proxes R1R are available.
