Default FS:Garrett gt28rs *New Pics* see last post

Up for grabs is my Garrett gt28rs, I sold the car before I had the money to finish out the turbo build. So now I have a turbo sitting in my parents garage with no car to put it on. This would be great for a K series or even other B and F series turbo builds. The spool up time on this turbo is amazing, if you do some searching you will see that this turbo is awesome! I bought this used for $800. So I would like $550 SHIPPED with the oil lines and coolant lines with AN fittings.

^intercooler for sale too^

No shaft play or leaks, what trade were you thinking about? 800 shipped is just what I am asking I thought that was a fair price for the turbo and the lines.

Oh no, i ment your price is just fine for the turbo. But it's hard to sell unless someone is looking to make under 300whp and already has a t25 flanged manifold.

My point is that for $800 many are going to rather spend $575-650 for a NEW precision sc50, garrett t3t4 57trim, and in the $800 range I think Precision SC61, GT3255b go for that.

The GT3255b makes power up to abut 450ish with nearly the same amount of spool time if not better.

That's an great turbo. If I didn't already have my current turbo I would jump on that turbo for $500-600.... but $800 is too much for what little power the turbo can make.

GWTS bud.

I think you might be thinking of the GT28R (GT2560R). While that turbo is capable of supporting around 300 whp, the GT28RS (GT2860RS), it's big brother, can support mid to high 300's at the wheels. In this thread you can see how Lightningteg puts the GT28R to good use.

also consider that most of the turbos you mention use journal bearings, where the GT28RS is full ball bearing.

LOL should've known you were a Team-Integra member... I swear they churn out more debate team champions than car enthusiasts.

Sick turbo, I think the price is decent. Looks clean too.

14,000 miles on this turbo, the guy I got it from just swapped it out for a gt30. I think the gt28rs is far better though considering the spool up time. Yup they are right capable of mid 300 whp and ball bearing housing.

May have missed it. What is the exhaust flange? Also, internal wastegate?

That's because we know what we are talking about. We research before we speak and try to have mature conversations.

A GT28RS has a T25 flanged exhaust housing inlet, and has a ball-bearing CHRA.

No internal wastegate? The GT28RS is internally gated from the factory.
