Default Itr cams in stock GSR motor.. Any good?

Okay, I'm thinking of buying a set of ITR cams. The main reason I want them is because eventually I'm going to run the ITR exhaust cam and GSR intake cam when I get my jrsc installed. But, for now until I can do that, would running the ITR cams alone on a basically stock gsr motor make any more power??

Yes it will make a lil bit of power. I've seen alot of guys go from a 15 sec GSR to 14 just from swapping out to R cams with some decent bolt ons un-tuned.

is that the setup to run. Gsr intake and itr exhaust. I would think it make more power type r all around. unless the supercharger can keep up with the flow. Type r cams are great camshafts. I have some crane cam stage 2's that have less than 5k miles on them. Still have original box. Pm me if you are interested

R cams on both sides do make more power but the intake is the biggest gain. if you add a single runner manifold and these cams to a gsr you more or less create an itr engine minus a touch of compression. i've seen it just as you say though, a 15.3 sec gsr goes 14.9 with this change

i have a 100% stock jdm itr combo in my integra, it's good for a 14.9 mid summer or 14.6 - 14.7 end of september when it's cold at night

itr is more than just cams and intake.
intake valves are different
dual valve springs
port job
bigger TB
10.0 gsr CR and 10.8 type r CR
crankshaft is different somehow as well? dont remember

but with type-r pistons in GSR block and crank you get 11-11.5 compression instead off 10.8 in stock type r.

I am pretty sure ITR has bigger couterweights on the crankshaft or it's visa versa.
Dual springs on intake and exhaust, not just intake like the gsr or b16
Port job on the intake varies so much from ITR to ITR. I have seen some that look pretty good, then some others that look like the "new" guy at Honda did!

Also the reason for the added compression is the different cylinder heads. GSR have ''quench" pads an very small combustion chambers compared to the PR3 heads
