Clutch Really Soft on my 93 civic
Hi guys so i just bought a car earlier this month and it drives perfect but recently my clutch is extra soft and hardly any resistance. It catches gear fine doesn't seem to slip but the clutch is REALLY soft and it wasn't like that before... Is it possible to fix this problem myself? Any opinions or help much appreciated
if you have to pump your clutch pedal up to work properly its your slave cylinder if not then, you have either a leak some where or it needs to be bleed.
it can be a few things like everyone stated above.
- low fluid
- bad slave cylinder (located on your transmission)
- leak in the line
- bad master cylinder
all of these are easy fixes. have a friend stand outside while pulling away the black dust boot covering the slave cylinder. you can sit inside and push the clutch pedal while he watches the travel of the slave cylinder. if that is not it then start going down the list until you figure it out
