96 Accord possible transmission prob

heys, I'm mostly in the s2000 forums than anything because mine is my toy, however today I need help with my DD. its an auto 96 accord that recently developed a problem, when in drive(D4) or park, the green square begins to blink but only around D4, also I gettin alittle sputter and mild hesitation, I was wondering if anyone had this problem and kinda knows what it is...thanks guys
See this link for information. Although your car is OBD-II, it still has the service check connector under the passenger side dash. Jump the connector with a small paper clip or wire and read the transmission trouble code. The link includes most of the info.:

Your OBD-II port is behind the ash tray. However, the other port is under the passenger side dash. (Most 96-97 Accords should still have this.) Look underneath the passenger side, you should see a blue plug connector. It is the two prong one. You may have to unplug it and then jump it.
