Just bought this car and was wondering why the fuel pump cycles on and off when the car is turned off ??

 

Most likely not the fuel pump but the evap system can cycle while it is off. Are you hearing a "buzzing" sound in the drivers/left rear...about where the back seat is or would be if this is a 4 door. every now and then, but not all the time.

 

Mine does the same thing and i was wondering what this would be. The sound is coming drom the drivers/left side rear as well.

 

ya it is the evap system pulling off vapors. I have a walbro fp and when the car turns off it is certainly off
