I have a 98 gsr with a ls in it. Will I be able to pass smog using the 96-97 ls ecu or do I need the 98-99 ls ecu. I'm just worried because I know that the 98-99 ls have a shut off vent valve on the evap canister and the 96-97 doesn't so if the smog tech test my evap with the 96 ecu, it might not pass due to the 96 ls ecu not knowing to close the shut off vent valve on the canister. Let me know if u guys have ever pass smog with a 96-97 ls ecu on a 98-99 ls. Thanks.
