Default USDM ITR seats: Did I do OK on these?

Earlier today I had an opportunity to pick up an extra pair of USDM ITR front seats. I don't have any immediate use for them, but I figured they could come in handy somewhere down the line. They're not mint, but I don't think they're real rough either. Other than needing a good cleaning, their two main flaws are a small cig burn on the back/side upper bolster of the driver seat and some small picking in the bottom cushion of the passenger seat. Overall they seem to be in pretty solid shape for 12+ year old seats (I was told they originally came out of a '98).

I kinda bought these on an impulse without doing a lot of research or asking around. I know there was a recent thread here debating the value of these seats, but I couldn't remember the numbers off the top of my head when I was buying these. I gave $300 for the pair. Just curious if yall think thats a fair buy.

Here are some pics:

Not bad I guess. I do have any extra set of seat covers that could be for sale, however, they will cost just as much as those seats themselves.

Do you always keep all those wheels in your office?

No, its just a temporary thing. Still have to free up some extra storage space. Doing some remodeling and getting ready to build a showroom. I'm a used car dealer, btw.

Nice, my dad has been in the car business for 15 years. I used to be in sales/manage at my dad's dealership.

Yeah, my dad has been in it since the 70's. Thats how I got caught up in it. Started off just flipping a car or two here and there, then it just evolved into a full-time gig. My website is www.atlautosource.com if you wanna check it out.

What types of cars do you specialize in? I'm moving to Miami early next summer and will be needing a car.

I would love to meet fellow R owners when I am not busy with school. Too bad my R will still be home in Hawaii. Perhaps you can point me in the right direction such as finding housing and a car.

not a bad deal. those seats sell so infrequently that it's hard to get a solid price. 300, 400, 500, seen them sell for all the above.

yes, they only show up on my local craigslist a couple times a year if that. if you're buying them they either came from

1. an upgraded R
2. a stolen R
3. a wrecked R

when you think about how few were actually sold then string it across 50 states you arrive at why they are rare

Hmm did you get these from atlanta? I had a deal earlier from Atlanta for usdm seats for that price but the seller couldn't provide vin info on the seats so I said HELL no. As there has been a few itr's stolen from that area. I will not support theft( not saying you did) but hope you can confirm they are not from a thefted itr.

I'll give you $50 + shipping for the OEM seat rails. Then you'd only have $250 into the seats, and chances are the next buyer won't want the rails anyway.

For some reason finding a set of genuine ITR rails is difficult even though they are 99.5% the same as a normal teg.

And on top of that, you're really only limited to those sets that happen to pop up locally, since shipping is cost-prohibitive. Thats why I went ahead and bought these. I figured, when is the next time a set of these is just going to fall right in my lap?

Yeah, they were initially posted on Craigslist Atlanta last week. The guy had them listed for $450, so I'm not sure if these are the same ones you saw. I did see another set listed a little while back that seemed a little sketchy; low price, very little info, no pics, etc.

A little tab on the seatbelt anchor is slightly different. A dremel would fix, but I want genuine ITR rails.
