Well, first of all Hi! I'm new to this forum.
I'm a former Volkswagen enthusiast, but after my accident I started looking for something new. Saw a add for a 95 Honda Civic EX Coupe for 500 bucks that didn't run(transmission was shot),but had a newer d16z(50kmiles) So I do some research on the aftermarket for civics, pretty wide selection I was impressed. I start looking into the do's and don't, and end up deciding ya why not this should be fun. I also decided I want it to be a daily driver, but I want some power so have decided b series.
Debating at the moment between ls/vtec or a B18C1. Type R's seem to expensive for what I'm looking for for in this car(open to options on what
is best for a street car with power) I do plan to drop a turbo in it at some point.
So I go and give the guy a call to go see the car, it wasn't in to bad of shape got in felt the clutch and noticed it wasn't the the tranny(master clutch cylinder and fleet). Egg the kid on about how its tons of work so I buy the car for 350.
I'm building the car in this fashion.
1.Interior/Exterior/Paint
2.Suspension(engine & tranny in decent shape,but man is the suspension old, beat on, and ****ing loud as ever.
3. Engine,Tranny etc.
Now for what I had to do to get the car running right:
Master Clutch cylinder & Fleet.
Front ball joints on both sides.
Sway Bars for both as well
Brakes, rotor
Racquet and Pinion
Tune up-Oil change plugs, distributor cap, etc.
Still To Do:
Wiper Swtich(it was broken off in a fight between him & her gf one day while driving apparently)
Driver window doesn't go up all the way.
Bad socket in left headlight
Hood Release cable(Hood won't shut all the way)

Engine:nasty Looking.

Question!:My window won't go any higher than this but the motor keeps going once it hits that point and then the window starts to try to go up but makes a nasty noise and just keeps trying sounds like my regulator right ?

Honda rust! I need ideas on how to rid my car of this.

And this

Sun roof & back window: Seems like the kid spray painted parts of the car and didnt cover the sun roof, back or top of the front windshield. How do I get rid of that ?


Now some interior questions, what is compatible with my car? lol
Over all not bad for 350 bucks right?
