i have a civic 94 coupe motor d16y7...

im just have change the head gasket and timing belt, but when i start the car and i move it, it cool, but when i wants to go at full gas the car start to kick like it don't have power... :S

what could it be?... please help...

CEL codes?
Plugs, wires, cap, and rotor?
Ignition timing?

 

the ignition time i think is ok...

the CEL is on cuz i dont have the o2 sensor...

that could be spark plugs and wires?... cuz before change the head gasket it was at this points... buuutt my head gasket at that moment was out and the water get in to the engine and oil...

???????

 

For problems like yours, always start by checking all the ignition system components. You need a timing gun to check the ignition timing.

Pull the CEL codes again to see if a new one has popped up.
Also unplug the primary O2 sensor to see if the problem goes away. If so, replace the O2 sensor.

 

do a complete tune up and that should do it..but like he said the o2 thing could be it to..
mine did that about 2 week's ago and i had to do a complete tune up now it runs like a top.
i found a couple wires arcing around the plastic shaft..and my cap.the point's was bad..
timing is a factor to..double check it..just to be sure..

 

Did you do an oil change after the headgasket change? lol get the antifreeze out of the engine.

 

its a fuel/ignition prob. i would see ur fuel pressure at idle and WOT.. get rid of that CEL. cannot properly diag the car with it on, yes even though u know its from a missing O2 sensor, it needs to be off to adjust ign timing properly..

 

i open my distributor and for my surprise i see that the spring coil have missed and to exchange it, someone put naked wires in and go...

how i can find the oem spring ? can i find one to replace or some other method?...
