==>Esford90's CRX Si Build<==
Ive been on this forum for a little while now and I'm not one to post alot. So I thought I would share by making a build thread of what I have been working on for the past month or so.
I sold my 93 hatch and bought my 90 CRX Si in August of 08 and fell in love with hondas more and even more specifically the EF chassis. Over the past few years I have been slowly moding it and last winter I did a obd1 B16 swap.
Well anyways I got into an accident with it 2 months ago and thats when I decided it was time to build her up the way I really want to. I'm going to try and keep this updated with as many pictures as I can.
As far as what my plans are with the car, I want to put a fresh coat of paint on it (I was thinking Champ White), along with the JDM EF8 Front. My other plans are to convert the cable to all hydraulic lines because I hate my hasport cable to hydro kit, do a brake line tuck, and replace as many run down parts as I can as I go. ANd whatever I feel like doing. I havent really decided exactly what I want for each aspect of the car but I will figure it out as I go.
This is what it used to look like before the accident:

Accident:

And this is as I've been terring it down:

Decided to clean the garage and put the car where I want it before I took off all of the suspension/subframe/trailing arms.

Then I put it back on the jack stands and took everything out.

And that is how it sits now, more update will be soon to come as I do more body work and collect parts for it.
Thanks for looking

White CRX, I'm in love. I'm in for this build. Champ white would look absolutely awesome on your car, and judging by the pre-accident pics, it looks like we have a lot to look forward to. Good luck.
Thanks Man, But im not 100% sure im in love with champ white now. It may be a little bit too much of a creamy white color for me. The reason why I havent been updating is because I have been doing nothing but body work (that I absolutly hate). I will have updates when I go pick up some of the pieces I found for my JDM front in mid october along with some of the parts Ive picked up in the last couple weeks.
Along of my suspension components that i took off the car are being sandblasted right now at my dads work, I'm trying to get as much of that done as I can during body work so when its all painted I can just throw all the suspension back on. The car will also be reundercoated. Does anyone have any suggestions on what brand undercoat they have found to be the best to use? Help will be greatly appreciated.
Once I get the car painted this build will move along much faster and will be less boring haha.

I hear ya how boring body work is...it's time consuming and sometimes aggravating...and pictures don't due it justice.
I understand how you feel about the champ white. I personally like it, but it's weird how there can be so many "whites." My Prelude is frost white and it looks quite different from champ white my buddy's 240sx's pearl white. It all comes down to preference, either way, your Rex will look good

Yeah i hear ya. I'm thinking about painting it the s2000 white. I havent looked up the paint code yet, thats why I dont know what its called. Haha, the car is deffinatly going to be some sort of white no matter what. White CRX's = WIN
I agree with you there. The S2000 Grand Prix white is NH-565. That's about all I can provide. Hondas just look the best in white. I can take 'em in all colors, but for most models if I had to pick I'd go white.
I decided to undercoat some of my car yesterday instead of sanding and sanding and sanding. So here are a few pictures (I dont know why they are so small). The glass on the car is going to be removed saturday afternoon.

The undercoat I used is made by Dupicolor, its ruberized and is the profesional one that has the sound deatening in it. I doubt it will reduse the sound from the wheels wells, but I gues every little bit helps. i'm planning on running a fully gutted interior minus the roof liner and door panels. So if it does reduce a little road noise then it will make it more comfortable to cruise around in.
Thank man, I dont plan on getting rid of my CRX for a long time.

My friend Jay came over and removed my glass for me yesterday, I also undercoated the front two wheel wells. The rest of the underside will be undercoated soon and then I can start putting the rear trailing arms back on. I need to replace the trailing arm bushings and remove/paint what I want to refinish before it starts going back on.
