Default SOHC ZC Gas milage

I'm getting roughly 27-33 mpg. zc intake/si exhaust.

I'm wondering what everyone else is getting.

before rebuilt cylinder head and re-ring, 37 mpg. burned a quart of oil every 300 miles.
after rebuilt cylinder head and re-ring, 33-35 mpg. now burns a quart every 3000 or so.
car is otherwise stock '90 Si minus the sohc zc.

I think it has to do with the road construction on the way to work and back. Idling in traffic a lot more. It overheated and warped the cylinder head back in April. I took my time and got it put back together in late May and during that time caltrans started doing a ton of road construction on my commute route. Only way to explain it, nothing else has changed that I can see.

Ya almost exactly the same. Gas marker goes red around 230, scares me when I'm hitting around 250. But I know with what my average is, so that I can go til 290. Hahaha.

Well if it was all about economy we'd all have d15's that get almost 40 mpg on regular octane. I averaged 380+ on a tank, easily modifiable to reach 45+mpg.
