DIY - 2-Piece JDM EG6 Wing install (92-95 Civic hatch)
DIY: JDM EG6 Wing Install
I was working on this so I figured I'd post it up in case anyone else wanted the info.
NOTE: This install is for the 2-piece JDM EG6 wing. I'm going to assume that it's going to be the same for the 1-piece JDM wing as far as mounting points, electrical, sprayer, etc. For me all of the electrical was plug and play and I didn't have to cut or splice anything.
Tools: Philips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, 10mm socket
1) Here are some pics of the USDM wing on my 92 Civic Si hatch.

2) Open the hatch window and there will be two small 10mm nuts on each of the hatch hinges that need to be removed.

3) Once all of the nuts holding the wing to the hatch have been removed, close the hatch window and tilt the wing up to expose the LED wiring and window washer sprayer. Carefully undo the wiring from the wing.

4) Unscrew the window washer sprayer from the wing.

5) Remove the wing from the car completely.

6) Here are a few side by side comparisons of the USDM and JDM wings. Notice that the LED on the JDM wing is longer, the JDM wing is also slightly longer than the USDM one, and the JDM wing is thinner in thickness than its USDM counterpart.

7) Test fit the wing to make sure everything lines up correctly and that nothing is wrong.

8) Start putting everything back together in the reverse order you removed the USDM wing. It should be fairly straightforward at this point. NOTE: It's probably a good idea to test your brake lights prior to tightening everything back up.

9) Enjoy your finished install!

I have never seen the JDM wing I really like it.
Where did you pick that up at?
Good write up I'm sure a lot of people will use it, pictures rule all.

I found it on Ebay, they're pretty easy to find, it's just finding it at the price you're willing to spend. This one came with the paint all scratched and chipped, so I had to have it repainted. But i'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
nice write up on this indeed, theres a few on ebay right now, looks like 119 but will have to be resprayed all scratched up. at 9am est time its like 10 hours left so if you want one at that price you might want to jump on it. All the others on ebay i've seen are around 200 bucks

good write. I also installed one of these about a year ago. I paid like $180 shipped. Also check out my s2000 wheel installed in my 92 hatch. There is a thread on here. I did a small write up on it but will do another with more details and pics later on.

Nice. I also bought one off of e-bay years ago. It's a nice 'setting' in between stock trim and a Spoon wing. The LEDs are very bright.

Engine swaps are the only other option...but I've actually kept mine SOHC
Extremely shitty picture. Doesn't do the car justice what so ever. I installed mine a little over a year ago. Actually prefer it over any other option. Although, I would like to pick up a BYS spoiler at some point.
Hey thanks,I have a 92 hatch and I haven't been able to decide on what spoiler i'll get. I know now. By the way your car looks amazing!
