went to a classic bike show over the weekend
-Myself on the Triumph a couple of buddies of mine went to a "British iron" classic show. There were more asian and european makes than British iron. Anyway, I go just to "talk" shop with the older folks and look at bikes. More and more I want something older. I started to talk with this older fellow who brought two bikes. After 10 minutes, I made my decision on who I shall vote for the Peoples' Choice Award. The time and effort put through almost drew a tear, such a passionate chap. I wasn't sure if he had won, as we left before final judging. Overall, I plan on attending more "shows" and not the typical squid Thursday nights as I've been accustomed to. Better food and less headaches....
1965 Honda Dream, all original and only 4K on odometer. It was a basket case when he got it. This took over four years to complete.

His other entry, 1966 RC166 replica. Exact replica except for the motor...notice the removable lights.

This was another looker, again another perfect replica.

British iron.

I was going to add this to the squid thread but....kudos to the owner as it had over 100K.

.....I'm on a boat. Well, a ferry.

-The show was in Mass., about an hour or so from my folks. The ride up was all highway, but the journey back was awesome. Great country roads, a river crossing and I was absolutely beat afterward.
-Its been 5 months and about 3500 miles on the Triumph......I like it more than the 1098. It's such a great bike. The looks, the sound, the fit.....everything positive. I'm so happy with it.

That Dream is MINT
I wish we had shows like these around these parts. Sometimes I wonder when I get older, attend some shows and be like "Oh look that is a 2010 CBR1000RR, fully restored, only 3k miles on the odo" then starting telling my grandsons (If I ever have then, doubt I will have kids) "Son, back in the day we used to run those ****er HARD, too bad now the governments prohibit bike sales".
