Posted this is the Legend, Rl etc section but figured I would post here to see if I can faster results...Seems everyone I know has transmission porblems lol

Hey guys, the title is pretty straight forward. I have a friend of mine whos has done a 3.5 swap into his type 2 Legend. So he pulls the car out into the road after he is finished and the car shifts fine but doesnt act like it wants to shift right once it got hot and would never down gear into the passing gear. SO he rips it out and stucks his type 1 transmission in it. Gets rid of the funny shifting but doesnt change the fact that it wont down gear into the passing gear when he puts the gas to the floor. So he sticks a type 1 ecu in it. Still nothing. He also changed out the VSS and still NOTHING.

So what elese could be causing the car to not gear down? Ive browsed around on here and a few various other Legend sites but found nothing super helpful ( other than change transmisison, switch ecu, VSS lol ). He will be making a trip down to Florida within the next few weeks and I want him to have a reliable way down. Any help would be appreciated.
