Thinking about Getting a 89 Honda Accord DX Coupe.
hello everyone, i just wanted to see if anybody on this site has a 89 accord dx coupe? if so can you give me some reviews and if this car is reliable?
im looking into purchasing a 89 accord coupe DX with 104,xxx miles on the clock and hes asking $1100. Now i need a winter car b/c winters here are rough so i decided this car was descent and i like the body style.
i currently own a 04 G35 coupe and its RWD and it sucked in the snow even with winter tires lol. so i need a FWD car.
heres a pic of my G35:D

heres a few pics of the honda im looking at.

now you guys think this would be a nice winter/daily car?

An '89 Accord would be a great winter car if routine maintenance has been completed on it. Any leaks? In what condition are the tires? Does the heater/defrost work? How does it idle? Does it have a Honda steering wheel cover? These are things to look at to determine it's reliability and potential.
I have an 01 audi a6 and an 82 honda accord. Its really something else switching between the 2. At the very least its something that if someone rear ends you on an icy day or you slide off the road it won't cost your pension to repair. It would be better in the snow than the infiniti, bit honda are light, they still get squirrely when its slick. Best advice is to just take it easy during the winter.
