hey guys im new to the forums so sorry if this was already an issue. i just purchased hid lights from ddm tuning and i installed the bulbs and followed the directions step by step. my problem is that when i installed the lights my brake lights would only turn on when i step on my brakes. at night my rear lights are not on even when i turn on my headlights but they illuminate when i step on my brakes. i checked all my fuses and the slot for my tail lights was missing so when i put a fuse in the break lights worked just like normal but now the hid lights wont turn on!! please help me any suggestions will help me. thanks

you will have to completely cut off your tail light harness and resolder it back on. that's what worked for me

 

I'm guessing you're using the 55w kit?

yea i have the 55w kit and ddm said i dont need the hid harness. Should i buy the harness?

 

I purchased HID's and installed them in my car and have not had any issues. Had them for going on 3 years now.

 

Probably. I've only dealt with the 35w plug and play kits that deals with a lot less in terms of installation.

 

Exactly what I did. I think mine are the 35w and it was a straight pnp.

 

There is a guy around me that sells HID kits for like 90 bucks. They work great and hold up really well. If your local then I can hook you up but if not I would still order a new kit and sell your old one.

op, you should post which hid kit you bought and its specs for us to help.

 

i've put in 4 or 5 ddm setups...i ALWAYS use a relay harness, that way the power comes directly off the battery and not through the tiny oem headlight wires
