am a problem well not yet i just wanna make sure it is the alternator messing up on me and nothing else. so my battery dash light turns on when my cars at idle but then it turns off when i start going or revv it. i measured the battery voltage while the car was on and it read like 9V. and while its off its like berely even 12.2V. it runs fine it does feel like a loss of power thought. is it the alternator for sure or could it be something else???

and me, i had to replace mine, i waited till mine fully died off, dont do that, you will not like the outcome......

 

It's your left rear wheel bearing.. for some reason the Bat light gets grounded though it.

 

lol!!! dood its your alternator..thats pretty much the purpose of that batt light. its on at idle cause the alt. isnt charging as it should. goes off as you drive cause it spins faster and starts to work again. 9v is a bit low for it to be charging... replace your alternator!!

 

got it!!! replaced my alternator. and working good but i tried taking it out through the top couldnt fit so i took out the master clinder and air got into my brakes. so i need to bleed em out. eventually i took out the alternator through the bottom. simple procedure if u know what you are doing.

Your alternater has diodes in it. One is bad you can get it fixed for around 45 bucks at any battery place

 

whaaa? i know alt. can be repaired but whatya mean by battery place?

 

ive always went thru the bottom...removing the master cylinder is alot more work that sliding an axle outta the way IMO.
