What is the deal with ebay ECU Chips?

What is the deal with ebay ECU Chips?
Are they safe to buy, a chip for a ZC goes for around 20 dollars where an equivilant ECU from the junkyard would cost upwards for 100 dollars. Are these chips for real, do they work as well as buying a junkyard ECU?

I understand that but what I'm asking is if they perform the same. I can do the soldering no problem, but is it really the same as having a ZC ECU or and Integra ECU?
