Default tilt steering in hf ?

Hi, this is my first post.

I have a HF and I am thinking swapping the steering column for the vertical adjustment on steering. I am just not used to the steering being way up there and not able to tilt it down. Is the swap pretty straight forward if I get the whole si (or dx) column from junk yard? Or do I just need to add a new part on the current column and that's it?

I tried looking at Helms but it only showed steering column with tilt adjustment. no hf in there

Any one done this before?

Yeah it a straight bolt on. It's not much of a tilt though (only about a 2" travel at the most). My GSR has more tilt than the Si column. It was worth it though for 40 bones.

bolt-on process. you'll need those basic tools. sockets, extensions, and wrenches. i got mines off of ebay for $20. it's worth it for a HF. the Helm's manual should show a pic of the entire assembly for the DX & Si. And it does point out that the only difference is the HF not having a tilt lever.
