For "EK." I can get both for about the same price and was curious if anyone had some personal experience with the H&R Ultra Low's?? The GC/Koni feedback is all over this site(obviously), but the only cars I see on the HR's are VW's/Audi/BMW etc. I would REALLY like to do the H&R's if they provide a decent ride and handle good....just lookin for some info before I buy. Thanks fellas

Those helper springs would be nice, My friend doesn't have any and his car goes, clink clink when he turns the wheel from a stop. Never heard of those! pretty spendy though compared to Koni/GC
I doubt the ones for the ones for an EK have helper springs, as even KW don't have them for our cars (ie my DB8). (S2000 does though).

Maybe I wasn't clear in my post. I was looking for personal experience with the H&R suspension, not if it had "helper" springs or not. I could really care less, I'm asking how they ride/handle. Not if they have helper springs or not. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you're outa luck on this board. I seriously don't think anyone here runs H&R coilovers. They are much more popular with the german crowd. You might get lucky though. For a little more than that KW V2 are great, i ride on those.
Mine were $1271.xx I didnt know you'd get them that cheap, thats a good price, if you google H&R Ultra Low's review you'll find some of the VW crowds input.

Yeah my place of work is an authorized dealer for them. That and Eibach but I don't think the Eibach's will allow me to go that low. I've read some of those VW's reviews, but most of them are on large wheels and really don't sit that low(as compared to a car on 15" wheels). I knew it was kind of a shot in the dark, but I figured I'd ask anyway =P
IMO, unless you are changing up your style haha
Cranked all the way up is probably around a 3.5" drop. What are you looking to do with this setup? I wouldn't track/auto-x with the ultra lows.

they are germen shocks, hence the reason that they are on many germen cars. From what i hear they are great shocks but the rears are non adjustable for ride hight only the fronts are adjustable. In my opinion the kw would be the next step up after the koni/gc set up. So if you would like to spend more money and get a better product i think kw is the way to go. In the end its all up to you and what you want.

lol Well on their website/catalouge, they claim that it starts @ 2", but is adjustable to 3.5. But now that you say that, the customer's Jetta we did last month was a "street" coilover...his fender meets the top of the tire and he's not even 1/2 way down on the threads. Wow man I'm glad you said somethin cuz it's kinda makin some sense now. I appreciate it!!
Yeah there's no way I would be able to get my car up to a 2" drop even with stock size tires. The stoke is so short that you can't raise them very far before you just start to preload the coils. Since they are progressive springs you effectively end up with a bunch of dead coils. They really are designed for going very low. Here's a shot of the droop on my old hatch.

This is my "EK" all the way up:
