Default could it still be the intake manifold gasket?

i have some idle issues.
the rpm does a little bounce after i drive.
idles ok when warming up.
the rpm does bounce at stop lights.
it doesnt bounce at every stop light.

whats been done.
replaced intake manifold gasket from oem honda. it still bounces.
tried to lower idle speed. no luck.
raised idle speed. still does the bounce.


mods:
i have a skunk2 intake manifold and skunk2 throttle body. i used the sticky spray on the throttle body gasket.
brand new iacv.
i have pretty much brand new everything on the car.

tightened down the new intake mani gasket pretty tight. i am now thinking i should spray it with the sticky spray i have but before i do that i wanted to ask you guys if there is anything else that could be causing this?

The "sticky spray" isn't going to matter. When you say that you tightened your intake "pretty tight" you mean you haussed it on? Theres a good chance that you overtorqed it and warped something. Also, check all your vaccum lines over REALLY good. It's possible there is a small tear somewhere and when the engine bay heats up the rubber expands and exposes the small tear

yes there are rubber plugs i used to cover up the extra nipples on the skunk2 manifold. they look like the heat has kinda made them look like they have small cracks. ill try that first.

oh i did use the brake cleaner spray on the gasket. i didnt see any bouncing on the rpm. i just thought i did it wrong because i couldnt get under the intake manifold to spray the brake cleaner. i did how ever soaked the gasket pretty good on the top section of the intake mani gasket and it still didnt fluctuate in the rpm.

If you have it take a propane torch and turn it on but don't light it, Then trace it around where you suspect there is a vaccum leak. If you find the area where the propane will get pulled in by a vaccum leak then your idle will increase. Alot of people will come on here and post that you can use carb/ intake cleaner to do this also, but DONT. Only use propane or something that will not stay/ pool up. If you think about it if you use those alternatives you have just left a small puddle of a highly combustable liquid sitting on a 2-300 degree engine bay....

i do have a propane torch.
won't the propane cause some sort of fire or even an explosion because im leaking out unburnt fuel?

Ok well for starters your engine creates a vaccum while its running so you shouldnt be leaking anything at all on your intake side. The vaccum should pull the propane into the leak and burn it just like fuel hence the rise in rpms. I assure you this is perfectly safe, if you're worried about an explosion what do you think your internal "combustion" engine does lol.

Fast idle valve??? Just search FITV to find out if you have it and how to fix it.

check and make sure your PCV/hose isnt leaking air
