My oil temp gauge works properly fine, but there seems to be a problem with my water temp gauge. Just so you know the gauges actually came with the car so the previous owner must have wired it wrong or something. Can anybody with experience with gauges at least tell me where to look for the wiring and how to fix my problem?

 

start at the gauge and follow the wiring to the sender on the engine...

 

The 1-wire coolant temp sending unit is located below distributor.

 

i think he is refering to aftermarket gauges

what brand are the gauges? is the water temp electric or mechanical?
