rebuild motor on boost what should i use for first start synthetic or normal oil?
people have been telling me for first startup on a rebuild motor on boost i should use regular oil first because i could spin a bearing faster with synthetic? im pretty sure is better to use synthetic right?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you are supposed to use conventional for the first 5k miles.
This came from the "All Moto" section under FaQ. It's about bikes but very good read. your answer is at the bottom of the page.
Hope this helps, Good Luck!
From what I have read is for your first 3 changes...remember not at 3k intervals...use regular oil. Synthetic will coat the cylinder walls too well and not allow the rings to break in completely.

i used the cheapest oil i could find for the first start, and let it idle for about 10 minutes, turned the car off, changed the oil and put good oil in and put it on the trailer. I waited almost 2000 miles before i switched to synthetic.
