I have a 89 crx si with a d16z6 swap, blox intake mani, n1 headers+exh, ob1 conv, adj fpr with 310cc injectors, and a 50 dry shot. My tranny is grindin goin into second sometimes. its the stock si tranny my question is, is there a tranny that would better my set up. I figured the 95 ex tranny would be best but no expert with trans. I ran 9.9s no spray at my local 1/8th mile. spinin like crazy off the line. .621 react, and 2.369 60ft. Bald tires to. Tires at about 28psi. Just let me know what tranny u guys think would be best for it. It will be mated with a act stage 1 clutch also.

 

get yourself another si tranny,repair your current si tranny or find a zc tranny and swap in the si final drive...btw the 95 tranny wont work unless you do a cable to hydro conversion...!!!

 

get another si trans...done and done. 9sec d series with a 50 shot? did you spray the entire 1/4 mile? lol

 

yes another si or zc tranny, he said 1/8 mile not 1/4 mile.

 

a Dx tranny isnt that much different from an Si tranny and you could probably find one in better shape for a little bit cheaper. just my 2 cents.
