running low +1.8L = flat spots on any header. best you can do is gonna be to 1) raise the car up a 1/4 inch or 2) find a header with a pan welded to the bottom to stop from crushing it

with a car that low you really need a quality header. Don't cheap out.

Either get a sturdy oem header or pay good money for a camp header or something.

All a cheap header is going to do on a super-low car is get dented easily and/or crack. It could lead to serious issues for you at the sake of saving a few hundred bucks. It could cost you another cheap header or more expensive part-repair in the future.

You get what you pay for.

Bump!! I have the same problem and my car is not even that slammed like most of you guys in here. Ive wondered if yall slammed cars out there have this problem and how yall deal with it. Btw, i have a megan racing header 4-1 to hi-flow cat to apexi ws2 catback also the resonator pipe sits low too but i heard apexi exhaust sits low. I scrap a lil over certain bumps.

My eg is lowered 1.5. Mine scrapes on the big bumps. I normally dont have that problem but did do a couple that made a small flat spot

Man i thought header clearance on my lowered EK w/ GSR was bad. I dropped the same motor in an EF with ebay header my friend gave me for free and it already hits on everything and the car isn't even lowered :/

two headers that i know with good clearance are 5-ZIGEN and JUN

i had the 5-zigen b16 manifold on my b20 civic..it hugs the oil pan

i think OP's car is way lower than 1.5" than stock. i know my car is lowered 1.5" and my b16 doesnt scrape, unless i enter my driveway wrong. there are plenty of cars lowered and even slammed that arent destroying headers like that.

save yourself some time with buying a new header and just get a PCI header plate.

there ya go.

A cheap header vs an expensive header is not going to make a difference. You are still going to damage it. Paying $700 for a header doesnt make it immune to dents/breaking.
Get a plate for it if you really want to keep your car that low.
