altenator belt

i'm trying to remove the belt, so far i removed the top bolt but i cant remove the bottom belt, any advice?

if i cut it, the alternator still isnt rocking back and forward which will not allow me to install the new belt?

Why can't you remove the bottom "belt"? Do you mean "bolt"
Is the head of the bolt stripped?
To weak to break the bolt free?
No room to get your socket in?
What exactly is your problem?
