winches

How do you pick the right size winch? I would like one strong enough to drag a car up a trailer that is say missing a wheel or isn't rolling right. Is a 2500lbs or 3500 enough to pull a civic or integra?

Id base it on the weight of the car the some overkill just in case.
3500 would seem more than enough!
