Default installing a new soft top.

Hows it going guys,I just ordered a glass back window for my ap1,And I'm just curious from anyone with experience Is it a pain in the *** to install it? If you can give me some advice I would appreciate it thanks

there is a PDF from back in the day floating around. You have 2 options. Remove the whole thing attached to the frame still or remove the cloth from the frame still attached. Since my top was cut I chose the latter. I have done it to another buddy's car also. To remove it takes about 4-5 hours the first time. Its tedious ie. pain in the ***

It's a major pain. Even more so if the top doesn't fit perfect. However, if you have more time than money, pop in your favorite tunes, have a cooler outside with your beverage of choice, and spend the day swapping tops. Though expensive, I'll probably go oem next time.

I would be very careful if you have someone else do it. I did the first time and they took quite a few shortcuts/left oem parts out/broke,chiped panels. This is from a company my insurance recommended.
