It’s time to let one of my projects go. Most will not have any idea what kind of following this “oddity” from Honda has, but even in it’s unfinished state I find notes left on it asking if it’s for sale at least once a month. I never thought I’d let it go… I’m in no rush to sell it and I’m not going to give this rare piece of Honda engineering away for pennies.
Info:
1989 Civic RT4wd Wagovan (Beagle if it was JDM)
Red
196,000 Miles on the Body
Newly installed low mileage SOHC ZC
Rear Speaker pods (need to be re-installed)
Lowered on coilovers (needs new rear shocks)
Acura Head unit with CD player
New Battery
Cons: I purchased the car with a busted transfer case, bought a replacement transmission from an H-T member, guess he forgot to re-install a shim when he took it apart as it blew up 4 weeks after installing it. I think paid another person to “fix” it and they also forgot to do something and THAT rebuilt transfer case took a dump also. Finally my a good friend sat down and inspected everything and figured out what was going wrong. We sourced more transfer case parts of for it and got it back together MINUS the drive gear thrust washer for the transfer case, thus the 4wd is disengaged so that the new stuff doesn’t get hurt again until the washer is sourced and installed. Even with the 4wd disengaged the car runs fine.
The car can/will come with an additional assembled transmission, an additional transmission case and gear set (disassembled) and D16a6 long block.
Asking Price: 2,800 obo (car alone) additional parts prices can be worked out.
Could possibly be interested in trades for other Hondas...

Found a midwing in the garage that I'll toss in the backseat when somebody comes to get it. Also forgot the mention
Car has:
Power Steering and A/C
A/C is all intact, but needs some work...
