I just picked these up with the factory black door panels for cheap does anyone know if they are the 25th anniversary or not?

thanks they are really confortable. I got a good deal on them Im redoing my whole civic in black interior trying to be original. I have me EG8 H23a vtec build on the fourms they are going in that car. until them my wife is gonna rock em. does anyone know if they are the 25th anniversy Seats?

There is no such thing as a 25th Anniversary Civic...period. There is, however, a 20th Anniversary Civic, also known as the Car of the Year in Japan. This was chassis code EG5 and was the only EG in Japan to be badged as an Si. This car was released in 1991/92 and came with a USDM style rear interior in grey with green (like the color of money) seats. The rear seats also featured headrests. The front seats are your standard Civic hatch floating headrest seats.

Your interior is the standard Ferio SiR interior found on any 94-95 SiR Ferio. Nice seats to be sure, but they're not as rare as dealers would like you to think.

thanks fungus mungus I have been trying to figure this out for sometime now. somone i ran into said "thoes are the 25th anniversy seats!" and i was just like huh? thanks for clearing that up. yeah they are not that rare you just gotta know the right people. I got mine for $600 with the door panels.

 

No problem. I don't know how this myth got started, but jdm dealers gladly picked up on it as it allowed them to charge a premium for those seats. Sad that they needed to do that since they are really nice seats and I would rock them if I had a 4-door, regardless if their rarity. $600 is fair for seats in nice condition. I assume the rear seats have the center armrest?

yes the rear seat has and arm rest in the back with cup holders and a storage compartment. they are in perfect condition other than some sun fade on the rear head rest.
