Can someone identify my intake manifold?
Hey guys, newbie here, great site btw
Just got this car on the cheap, was wanting a project car. planning on rebuilding the engine. Im wondering if anyone can identify this intake mani. I was told it was a 'big' OBX racing, jus wanna make sure

I don't know much about these cars, but I've learned the car has a B18a1 with a pr4-4 head and ecu. The person I got the car from says it has upgraded some of the valve system, stage 2 clutch, lightweight flywheel, aem fuel rail with larger injectors. Not sure if the car has been tuned for any of this so I'm looking into this. Anyone have any tips for me?

this picture doesnt really help. to me it looks just like stock IM.
pr4 is the stock b18a head
B18B head: P75
B18A head: PR4
a part number stamp usually helps in figuring it out should be on it somewhere.

It could be aftermarket. The vacuum line for FPR is closer to runner 1 and the IAT is on #2 instead of #1. As well as the runners having spacing between them up to the plenum. I think its safe to say its not an OEM unit.
looks aftermarket to me
i never seen an OBX IM neither i could google one that looks like that
id jus tinput that scribble there next to the throttle body possibly a part number or serial number.
and plus the runners are short so its not a stock LS manifold
pobably another type-r manifold copy made for LS motor

well, the number stamped near the throttle body reads 040627z33. I tried referencing it on the Blox website, but their website is wack slow. I think on the Blox pic above, it has the same stamped numbers in that location. So looks like another component I'm gonna have to replace with Skunk2...
It looks like it could be obx or blox to me. If you look closely at the b18b obx intake manifold for sale on ebay it looks like it has a serial number in the same location.

Regardless of if it's obx or blox, I wouldn't worry about replacing it with a skunk2 manifold as you wouldn't notice much of a gain on a non-vtec ls engine especially with the few mods that you have. I would invest in a better header first, possibly try to relocate the battery and get a better intake, try figure out what has been done to the valve train and maybe invest into a set of crower cams, and get it tuned. Good luck with your project!

I was also curious which point down the line would I think about going with a larger throttle body? And if there are really any noticeable gains to porting the intake manifold? I saw a vid of it today and looks interesting...
i would keep stock tbody till you go vtec head or alot of motor work the most you should go is itr t-body
